Should I Add Tinted Film to Dual Pane Windows?
The answer, in most cases, is emphatically no!
Why?
Well, it’s simple really, and has to do with raising the temperature of the glass, which could very well cause it to break.
Most dual pane windows already have a thin coating which provides a tint, as well as providing resistance to thermal transfer. Additional tinting is not at all recommended, and in most cases will void a manufacturer’s warranty.
